Today was one of those days, not the best of days, but I've had worse.
First off, I have a ton of pressure on my sinuses. So, I have to watch it. I get overly tired when I'm like this, it can trigger vertigo attacks. So, when hubby left, I went back to bed. And, I didn't want to get up even later on. But, I had a lot to do, so I got up.
First problem-there's not much in the house I can eat for breakfast. We didn't go shopping over the weekend like we were supposed to. I was going to go to Aldi's yesterday, but got held up at the allergist and just barely made it to the chiropractor's on time. So, I didn't make go shopping then. I finally just ate a cereal bar w/my coffee.
I'm heading out to the farm and RU calls. Her dogs had killed a mother duck and she needed help rounding up the ducklings-10 of them. Only problem being, she had to leave. She does subbing and had gotten called in. KN couldn't help, so that left me w/PT for a helper. We managed to catch 8 of them. But the other 2 got into an area w/weeds that are well over my head! (RU had been going to plant a garden there, but never had the chance to get it ready.) And, they went thru a fence into an area that's impossible for me to catch them! I did however scare them back the other way. I told PT let them go, don't do anything I don't want them to come back this way since there's weeds w/thorns on them. So what does she do? Try to catch them, and scare them right back in that area.

I finally had to stop trying. I couldn't get them, and I was using up all the time I did have.
Got more of the weeding done in my field, but had no time to work on the fence line nor clean up manure. I had to go and get my hay. Got the hay w/no problem and go back to the farm. I had left Misty and Stormy grazing in the seeded area. I should have put Honey and Licky in there w/them. When I got to the farm, they were both in the run in, so I was able to get in the field w/no problem and got the gate shut. Drove over to where I wanted to unload them. Licky and Honey came out, and started running all around the truck and trailer. Opened up the area when I put the RBs, and let them in there while I went and got the tractor. (There's a little bit of grass in there, so I wanted them to eat it down and stay out of my way. Got the hay unloaded, stuck out a bale, put the tractor away, came back thru and unwrapped the RB, then got in my truck and drove to the gate. I open it up and drive thru. B4 I had a chance to get out and shut the gate, Honey and Licky realized it was opened and they came running! And, they got out.

They ran across the road. So, I left the gate wide opened, got truck and trailer up the lane and went and got some feed, a halter and lead. Walked across the street and started to shake the feed and call them. They came running. So, I put the feed down and let them eat while I got the halter on Licky. I knew if I caught her, Honey would follow, but wasn't sure Licky would follow if I tried to lead Honey. (Plus, Licky's easier to lead!) Led them back to the field. Honey decided NOT to come in, so I shut Licky in Misty's stall and went after Honey. Got her in the field, then shut the gate. I let Licky loose, and was finally able to get my truck and trailer unhooked. At some point in time, I dropped my knife. I don't know where, and didn't have time to look. Fed the chickens, and was finally able to leave.
Now I'm home and relaxing in the house while I watch the Phils. I need to get up and clean my kitchen, but don't really feel like it. Anyone want to come over and do it for me?
