Well, I think the major part of the storm is out of the area, so I'm doing better. Just watched a movie I couldn't completely follow, John Carter. Maybe I need to read the book.
 
Well, hubby is supposed to go out to the farm w/me today. I hope he does. I was able to get one of the nails out in Stormy's stall, but it's in an awkward spot. There's a gap just big enough for the board to slide in. But, there had been a board in there before-but not the right kind. They didn't use pressure treated, and it's at the bottom, so it rotted. There's still a little bit of the wood plus what ever nails. I couldn't get in there w/either the sawzall nor a hacksaw. I think I'm going to need a small pry bar or something to knock the wood out. Then, I can get the nails out. And, I did find my screws yesterday, so next week, I'll be able to go on the other side, and screw everything down good and tight! So, I'll have no more poop falling in from the other stall! :weee

I am officially at the spot where I want winter to go away. They're calling for a high on Monday in the 50s, but w/rain. Then, in the 40s on Tuesday, and even colder on Wednesday. I want to be able to ride my motorcycle. I may be able to on Tuesday, but don't know about any other day.
 
Hope he goes with you and ya'll get it done! I want winter to go away too :/
 
Well, he went w/me, but we didn't get it all done! It was too cold out there! But, the board is in place in the bottom of Stormy's stall. He has a new gate to his stall. And, the gates are on Honey's old stall! I do need to string electric in front of it though. The Brat will destroy those gates if I don't. So, I plan on doing that on Monday, then moving the feed cans out of my tack shed into there.

RU needed help rolling some RBs out, so by the time we got done w/the gates, and got the hay out, we were frozen! So, we left. We're hoping that one day when he's done work, he can stop at the farm and we'll do the insulation.

I was going to do wood, but I don't feel like it. So, I'll just bring enough in from the wood shed for overnight, or until Monday. I still have to do the animals, laundry and dishes, so I figure I'm allowed to not cut up any wood tonight. Actually, all I want to do is go to sleep!

And speaking of winter, we got more snow here than we did at the farm. And they didn't touch our road. So, if there's still snow on it tomorrow evening, I'll miss church. I won't drive on my street after sundown if there's snow (ice) on it.
 
Yep, and I can do the other doors by myself-as long as I can get the old hinges off! I don't really like what's on there and have put heavier ones on Stormy's door. Then, we used the old ones from Stormy's stall as well as Licky's stall for the gates to Honey's old stall. I figure since I'm not using that one for horses, it doesn't need to be quite as heavy.

They're calling for rain on Monday. So, I'm glad we got done what we did. I have the farrier coming, so I'll be able to have the horses in their stalls and have him do them in there! I might try to get the door on Licky's stall-it's not on there-then, I can have them locked up so I don't have to go and chase them if they're out and about. I might also get some screw eyes in the stalls so I can hang the hay bags easier. I'll probably put at least some hay in there, but not all of it. It's supposed to clear up later in the day, so they don't need it all in there.
