At least I was able to get a bale out fairly easily!
I've come to the conclusion that there are not enough hours in the day. I got a ton done, but don't feel like I did anything. And the weather is not helping. I wanted to leave early today because it was going to be bad out, but I had to clean out the fridge first, then get the trash and recyclable out and water my plants. That took longer than I was expecting, so by the time I got to the farm, it was feeling quite sticky out. I had planned on working w/Misty, maybe even ride her for a bit, but it was just too hot for me. I decided to work in the shade instead.
I never finished cleaning up the area where I had had my RBs stored. RU's son was there, so I had him help me fold up the tarps. It's a bit easier w/2 people. He had cut a large, dead branch off of a white pine-and left it in my field. He took that out. I had baling twine that I wanted to keep, so I sat on top of a bunch of pallets in the shade and got that all rolled up. There was some that I didn't want, that got trashed.
Once I was done w/the baling twine, I moved most of the pallets. I wanted them along the fence and they weren't. Eventually, they'll be coming out, but that won't be until I get a hay shelter up. At least now, they're out of the way.
There was a bunch of small stuff from off of the dead branch that was still in my field, so I got that all cleaned up. Right now, it's where I'm planning on putting my hay shelter. I need to clean up some in my tack shed area, then I can get the branches over there. And all of this took longer than I was expecting.
I had to stop on the way home and pay my motorcycle insurance, so that meant I was even later getting home. So I knew I wouldn't get much done at home, and I was right. I had thrown a load of clothes in the washer B4 I left. So, when I got home, I hung them out on the line. Hubby called. We were going to go to a local butcher when he got home. Much to my surprise, he decided to stop on the way home. So, I decided I could get some stuff done. I got the dishwasher unloaded, then reloaded it and ran it. I thought he'd be home B4 it got done. He calls again, tells me he'll call when he's coming home, and wanted to know if we had a cooler. I found one and scrubbed it up. I didn't want to get started on anything that I couldn't stop, so I decided to start on some ironing. I was actually able to get it all done. I honestly was wondering if we were going to make it to the butcher since they closed at 6:00. He finally called just as I got done w/the last shirt. I ran out and fed the goats, he got home right when I got done, we grabbed stuff we needed to take w/us and left.
Got to the butcher, got some nice looking meat, then went to Wally World and Harbor Freight. Now I'm trying to relax, but he hasn't shut up. And, he keeps bugging me. I'm not sure how long it's taken me to type this up, but I'd say it's at least 20 minutes, if not more.
