they had a great dirt bath.
they will be 3 weeks old on Tuesday

They settled in their new nest for a nap
I took the last egg layer out of the coop and left the two crabby broodies,, and closed the door.

I'm halfway...day 11 of eggs in incubator
Better get chick nursery set up this coming weekend

Humming birds have arrived. Egg just a little larger than my granddaughter's thumbnail (tiny).

had to put the two broody hens in crates-- they want to attack the chicks

I remembered I have a LG dog crate

I took the tub away and left the nesting- they each have food and water and shade and at some point???? they will stop pacing and sit

SO MUCH BETTER-- I can sit at my computer and see the chicks and they see me through the window. they are in the shade just below the 2X4 this side of the feeders -I can see the broody hens,

Well they had just finally figured out the whole evap code problem on hubby's truck last week. One of the evap solenoid was working intermittently. This has been a super long journey and the entire system has been replaced more than once. Started with actual cat issues that we paid for. Truck is 16 years old.

Auto shop kind of freak when I called yesterday thinking it was acting up again. We actually thought the tranny was going. Mech rode with him and it acted up a bit. Thinks it's misfiring. Well the spark plugs are original. That shocked the mech. Have to take apart the entire top of the engine to replace them. On the bright side, the mild oil leak from that gasket will get fixed. We'd been putting it off because of cost.

Still cheaper than a transmission. Hubby and me are good with aircraft, not cars
