email alert ?

On BYC, if I get a private message, I get an email alerting me, but here on SS, that does not happen.
I have gone over all my settings, and cannot find an answer to this.

Huh, I got an email alert the last time I had a PM (on Sunday) but it was the first time that had happened--previously I didn't know I had a PM until I logged on.

I think that has been updated, I've been getting those for the past month or so (i think it's been that long anyways? )

I've been getting them for quite some time. I was surprised to see this post. I get a message in the email every time someone posts on a topic to which I am subscribed. I also get messages for PM's.

correct, I was just updating it with a question about the topic subscription emails, since it was sort of relevant

In a somewhat related topic, how can we moderate the subscription emails? I subscribe to certain topics because I want to keep track of them, but I don't need the email alerts clogging my email. Is there any way to add a feature so we can decide if we want the email alerts?

If you subscribe to a thread you will get an email every time there is a reply to it. If you don't want the emails then just go to the thread and unsubscribe (at the bottom of a page in the thread).
