Life continues to go as not planned.

Amen, brother! Just when ya think ya have all the plans worked out - here comes a curve ball!
Happy travels and give WBF a big ol' hug from me! Then chew her out for not visiting here often enough, lol!

Local upick place. It struck me that other than wee littles, there were no kids. Some of my fondest childhood memories were picking with my mom and grandma. I took my kids when I went. I think that tradition is dying out

Those look delicious! But, sad that there were no kiddos sharing that experience.

There was a place we used to go pick. The owner once drove for my Dad many years ago, and when we'd go pick, it was usually 3 generational, my dad, myself, and my kids. And the owner came out and actually encouraged the kids to eat as they were picking. He said they had a lot more fun that way, and were better pickers if they were enjoying themselves. And they were. My kids looked forward to going.
My dad and that gentleman have both died since then, but I remember going there as a special treat, and we'll remembered the wisdom of that man. His fields were filled with kids, and smiles, and laughter.
