Farmfresh City Homesteader - the sound of falling oaks.

FF: Every other week I travel to the SF Bay Area (San Jose) to be with my mother. I stay here for at least 3 days, to help her with her husband's estate. My sister in town also helps the wek or so that I'm not here.

They had an A,B trust, as both had prior families. We've met with the elder lawyer 5 times so far, to find out how to handle his finances, we've done most of the legwork ourselves so we don't have to pay the paralegal to do it (retitling assests into a decedents trust B, and other things that were community property into survivors trust A).

Yes, he was well off, but still even with a trust and all, its a tremendous amount of work. Work to make sure that his kids get their share and mother's kids get her share. And that no one contests the details of the trust, and no one gets "hurt".

As Mother is still alive, going on 80 in November, and has a better social life than my sis and I combined, we expect to have her around for a very long time!

My heart is with you, on the work you and your sis are doing for your dad.

Sounds like things are going great guns for yoU!! My garden didn't do much except in peas, but I am learning tons and I already can't wait for spring! I plan to start some seeds inside, if I can keep them away from cats and dogs.

LOL that is awesome about Malcolm! Very handy sheep to have around!

Those cornishx are quite imposing looking... want to come to Florida about the first week in December? :D

That Malcolm is one wonderful sheep! I kind of wish you hadn't banded him...he has such wonderful genes to pass along.

My wether lamb chases my chickens! :smack Not all the time but he occasionally gets in high spirits and just must jump around and chase something.

Amazing thing to have a LGS....gonna keep him around for awhile, huh? :D

Farm, your place looks so green and lovely! I simply love your movable coop and your CX look great...no bare chests or dirty feathers.

Guess what? I was making bread all evening also! :P I'm supposed to bring the bread for our church's fellowship dinner tomorrow, so we baked up a storm.

We made regular white bread rolls and a loaf, a focaccia that had onions, green peppers and bacon on it, a sesame seed challah and a big round loaf of whole wheat.

We had fun and made way too much bread but we can give it all away and that is fun also.

Hey...anytime you need to find a home for Malcolm you can mail him to me! :D

Hope the bread turns out great! :frow
