Farmfresh City Homesteader - the sound of falling oaks.

I loved my Barbie dolls when I was a kid. I had a ton of beautiful clothes that my mom sewed for my birthday one year. I still get weepy :hit remembering the day I finally gave them all away (including my Barbie motorhome! argh!) to some neighbor girls... but I guess at 14 years old it was time. :lau

Ditto here. No issue putting an animal (human or otherwise) down due to illness and suffering.

My Amira is getting her teeth done. I'll be in a panic all morning. I don't like the thought of her being put under for it. I know they have to but.... :fl

As the owner you have to assess the quality of life.

But I'm talking more about people who want to kill the cat because it had a potty accident, needs some sort of lifelong meds or just doesn't have the personality they want (despite being true to its type/breed). And I do not fault people for putting down dogs with diabetes, I would have done that myself with Zoe had she really had diabetes insipidus because it is so hard to treat. I'm not trying to be judgemental here, just compassionate. If one of my own beloveds required a 1,000 dollar surgery right now they would not be getting it.

I'm up to $1,200 for the Fat Man, he had a broken and dislocated leg, and i would spend up to $5,000 keep Monkeygirl alive, provided she would have a good quality of life, free of pain.

I remember someone taking a cat to the pound because she had redecorated and the cat clashed with her decor! I really wanted to adopt the poor thing, but she was scared of dogs and we had two LARGE dogs, so I knew it wouldn't work. I believe they finally found her a home; I was kind of surprised that the pound tried that hard to find her a home, because I've heard stories about how they will put animals down before you've even left the parking lot.

Oh absolutely. Killing without qualms because it's inconvenient makes me wonder why humans get so worked up about genetic pograms.

Not to sound like a dummy, but I had to look up what Madame Alexander dolls were! :hide

I hope they sell really well for you!!
