Farmfresh City Homesteader - the sound of falling oaks.

For the last several years I have tried to awaken ... long story short (too late :P )

FF, what an excellent story and strategy!!! Please post pics if you have any? I think alot of people don't know how to market theirselves and this was an excellent example of how to do so. Appearances count and a "gimmick" is a valuable marketing tool. I would love to hear more about how others market their items, its always so educational!

Hey, FF, if your hubby would like to develop his hot peppers, I once posted a great recipe for a hot pepper spread called Hot Pepper Butter on this site. I can dig it up for you if he would like to try it. I can't eat a sandwich without it anymore....too bland! ;)

Hot Pepper Butter

1 peck hot peppers
1 qt. yellow mustard
3 lbs. brown sugar
1 qt vinegar
3 tbs. salt

Grind peppers(or puree), add other ingredients in sauce pan, boil mixture 15 min., thicken with 6 heaping tbs. cornstarch/water mixture. Can thicken to desired consistency.

Makes 9 1/2 pts.

(Don't ask me what a "peck" consists of, as my mother told me she just guestimates that amount! )

PS

a US dry measurement peck is equal to approximately 2 gallons plus 1 cup or 2.32 gallons.

Yesterday was an interesting day. ENTIRE fan just came flying off and smashed!
