I heard such horror stories from others, I asked Diane, our local post mistress, about their handling of the birds. They call as soon as they arrive. And if the birds ship in on the week-end, they have the week-end worker call you to make arrangements to meet somewhere so the birds don't stay in the p.o. over night. It probably helps that we are in a rural area and birds coming by mail is not unusual. You are probably right, FF! Sad isn't it?Farmfresh said:It is positively AMAZING how a thing like a chicken, that people eat all of the time, is such a foreign animal to so many people. They probably know more about elephants.
