Floor loom assembly??

I would find a local spinners guild and see if any of those women can help you. A couple of my friends weave and they learned from other members of the spinner's guild that they belong to.

Lots of trial and error for sure
If you can't locate a guild or store near you, try emailing or calling one in the nearest big city.
They will at least know where to look for a booklet.

I don't know anything about floor looms, and am NOT mechanically inclined. But it looks like you got a heck of a loom if you can get it put together!
