I am never happy with how my roasts turn out. Do you cook yours until it falls apart or do you slice itz.

I did not grow up eating roasts, so even though I know how it should be done, I am never happy with the results.

Your fruity liquors sound great!

I like the meat to fall apart, and that is easy to do in the Dutch oven. The pan juices are sooooo yummy!

No idea what is wrong with my stove. Probably something tripped the safety switch, but we didn't have time to figure it out...a quick look outside, no icicles fell, no snow chunks from the roof, could be condensation in the line...huge temp swings yesterday and today, too....and we didn't move or bump the stove at all. It is a mystery. All this equipment is fairly new and my tank is full. Harrumph.

Ha! I was right! We were out of gas! Stupid company....Arrow/Punderson/Pyrofax for anyone in W MA. We've had nothing but trouble with them. I TOLD them I cook WAY more than anyone I know, and that I can a lot, and that I do NOT want to run out of gas in the middle of a canning session. I was told that they would check the levels in a couple of weeks even though this should last me over a year. I was on automatic delivery.

They never came, never checked. It has been about 2 months, I think. A year, HA! We got a fill today, and it had better not happen again! :barnie

Wow, not good for business!! Got to listen to your customers!
Glad that's all it was and it's fixed. Get back to work!!! (Like you haven't already!)

Hi freemotion! I was nosing around on BYH and noticed your name from this forum. I saw your post under the topic "pig feeding". I just got a Yorkshire piglet a couple weeks ago. I've never had a pig before so I've been reading as much as I can about what the heck to do with her!

...just wanted to say hi. :frow
