About Me: I am a wife and mother. We have three children, ages 4, 3, and 1. We live in suburbia, but long for the country. My husband and I both grew up back east. Me, a fairly rural part of N.J. My husband on a dairy farm in N.H. After our first child was born, we started getting concerned about where our food comes from what's in it, etc., and this has led to us wanting to become more self sufficient. We try to grow as much of our own produce as possible, shop at the farmers market, thrift stores, garage sales, and are more than happy to take hand-me-downs. Nothing in our house matches, and there is no "theme" to it, unless thrifty or frugal count! We are planning to homeschool our kids. We currently have 4 two week old chicks, and are excited about their future eggs. I make my own bread, cook everything from scratch, and would like to do more like laundrey soap etc. Everything is a work in progress with three small children, and chaos reigns in our house! But I love it, and would'nt trade it for anything...Except a few acres in the country!

Now everything seems to be a piece or two from the past 30 years! I think feeling comfortable and cozy is better than anything else.
San Clemente's a pretty dense city. 6 raised beds is a great accomplishment. I totally understand the chaos part. I have 3 kids, 8, 6 and 3. the house is crazy but loving every minute. Or at least that's what I try to convince myself of.
