I did an inside day too. I worked on my utility room shelves. 2 more boards to finish painting and I can screw them down and be done.
You're making progress! I did boring stuff. Laundry. Cooking. Treadmill. Defrosted my stupid ice maker with a hair dryer. Cleaned the dog crates. Then did a little bit of outside stuff when it cleared off. Having a glass of wine and hoping it doesn't upset my tummy. Oh well...might be worth it, lol!

had enough rain yet? ...
As crappy as yesterday was...overcast and windy...we only had a few sprinkles. Last night was a different story. It started raining late, close to midnight, and it was off and on all night complete with thunder. Yay... not. We've had over a half inch since midnight. It's pretty horrible out there right now. Water everywhere.

I'll be keeping the horses off the pasture for awhile so they don't destroy all the pretty rye grass with their hooves. Goats only go out when it's dry and sunny...maybe next July, lol.

Been getting a little garden time in almost every day. Won't happen today though- too wet. But, I've been getting some feed sacks down in between the rows and mulching with some old hay. Possible light freeze next week so I need to get ready for that. Might need a hay cover for some tenders that are still very young but most everything else should be alright. It'll likely spell the end of the eggplant. Have a couple plants hanging on. Wonder if I can over winter them with good protection? Have a volunteer tomato plant peeking through some of my greens. Maybe I can give it a nice warm blanket too? LOL - not likely I can keep that up all winter. Maybe I should dig it up and put it in a pot and get a jump start on next year.

Oh my - the sun just came out! Guess this mess is moving on like the weather predictors said it would. Yay - they got something right, lol.

Time to get outside....gotta swallow my coffee first.

Got first garden porn catalog today. 🤷. Disappointing, not much new. Plus, already seed loaded.
It's that time of year! I am trying something new right now. It's called Chijimisai. It's a "new" green that's a cross between a couple of different asian greens. It's growing really well. I planted it the same time as I planted spinach and swiss chard. My spinach is a dismal failure, but it always is. I don't even know why I keep trying. The swiss chard is doing ok, but the Chijjimisai has outpaced everything else in the garden. I'm not going to strongly recommend it yet as I haven't tasted it. But, if you like looking at growing green stuff it's doing really well, lol!
