Frustratedearthmother's Journaling Journey

Crazy busy day again. Not that I accomplished anything that was on my list except for picking up grain and groceries. Lost a credit card too. I dropped it in my truck and it went between the seat and the console. After I got home I tore that truck apart looking for that card and it's gone. My best guess is that it slid under the console when I was fumbling around for it. Had to call the card company and cancel the thing.

Two more does kidded today. One had a HUGE single buckling and the other one had boy/girl kids. I think I'm at 4 boys and 4 girls now. Should have two more does to go out of this group and then get a little break after that.

Been a busy few days! Going to continue to be busy for a while longer...like month after month, lol. I've got 8 goat babies right now and two gals still need to deliver out of this group. Another group will start delivering in March and then a few more not due until May-ish.

Got some mama's dewormed yesterday and got the babies tagged. Still need to disbud the babies. That'll probably happen within the next few days. Ugh - hate it!

Need to start getting serious about getting a spring garden going. I need to dig through my seed stores and get an idea of what I've got and what I might need.

So much to do - so little time!

Makes you wonder HOW did we EVER do what we did while working full time!!
No idea how we did it then!

Four new babies this morning - four new doelings! The big guy is really producing girls.

So far:
Hank , the Myotonic buck has sired 2 bucklings and 3 doelings.
The Boer buck has sired 2 bucklings and 5 doelings.

That's it for this group. I need a break!

I struggle with this every week. Keep telling my wife I am ready to be a kept man. 😆

you probably know this but that is a mythical state of bean. it's even more work. when i early retired the only times i actually had time off for doing a lot of things was when i lived 12hrs or more from here. as soon as i got back in this area i started doing a lot of gardening and lawn work here and other projects. then like a dummy i moved in...

I have been working regular jobs since I was 11 with a set of lawn mowing clients and helping my retired grandpa with snow plowing, shrub trimming, spring lawn prepping, and fall leaf pickup. I am ready to take on the home challenges and leaving the office behind
