I neeeed a break! I havta work this weekend too... So, my Saturday is taken up by that and Sunday I'll be making the drive to mom's. Bad thing about working two Saturday's in a row is that I'm soooo behind on everything at home. Good thing about working Saturdays is that I get 12 hours of comp time - woohoo!

Sooooo, I'll have 24 hours of comp time coming to me and that sounds like 3 work days and three work days on top of a weekend is a flippin' vacation! Oh, even better....I can combine it with Memorial Day holiday and our Fridays off and get TEN days in a row off work. YIPPEE! Life is good! Now I've got something to look forward too.

The ex asked me one day how many chickens I have. I had a good size flock at the time. I had to sit down and write it down… x number of layers, x number of chicks, broody + x number of chicks, x number of cockerels I can't get myself to rehome… Oh forgot the youngsters that are growing out! = 107 in total

It didn't look like a lot... until I counted them. That's why I say denial is good. Once you start counting critters you're in trouble. Rather keep adding and subtracting and continue as you (and the feed bill) can manage.

Wow - that's a lot of chickens! Glad I don't have that many anymore, lol.

Wow yeah I've never had that many chickens except when we used to raise and sell meat birds! I try to keep numbers low because the downsizing process stinks and I have to watch our feed bill. I hate selling animals, so I try to keep them at manageable numbers! TRY....
