Oh boy, conan is going to be a handful lol! Are your other bucks sick of him yet?

We need rain too. The rivers are low, I don't like it at all.
 
He truly IS gonna be a handful! He doesn't mess with Dusty much. Good thing Dusty is so laid back cuz he's a big ol' boy. Mostly Conan picks on Felix - the Nigi buck. Felix is pretty laid back but he gets annoyed every now and then and reprimands Conan....but Conan doesn't exactly agree with Felix's point of view! He's had a few tangles with the Kinder buck too...he doesn't play...but again - Conan doesn't learn!

We've started our 6 week summer session at work. It's the most intense part of our year...argh. And, just for fun I'm taking 36 high school students on a college tour tomorrow. Thankfully it's a college fairly close and I've got two more chaperones to help out. We've got a whole new batch of students that I don't even know, and I sure don't know half of their names. ARGH! But, the best way to learn them is to spend time with them. A couple hours on a bus oughta help with that, lol.

Won't have the opportunity to spend time with dad tomorrow so I'll go this weekend. I need to start thinking about something for Father's day. Maybe a culinary treat of some kind...

A good meal for Father’s Day would surely be appreciated. I hope you can figure out a way so he can enjoy himself.
 
Whew - survived the field trip, lol. I was actually surprised at how good the kiddos were! It was one of the largest groups we've ever taken and about half of them were new so I was a little concerned...but nope...they were almost flawless!

Thinking we might butcher some meat birds in the morning, but only if we can get up early. I can't do it in the heat for sure....yuck! This is the sorriest batch of birds I've ever had. I think there was a mix-up somewhere because two of the pullets have buff coloring and they are definitely not a heavy bird. I'm considering giving them a reprieve and letting them be layers for awhile. If I do that I'll only have 4 to butcher - 3 roos and one big heavy pullet.

I've gotta get pics of the bucklings so I can get them on Craigslist. Maybe some hogs too! So much to do - ARGH!

Gotta get to it.
 
We have babysat the 3 and 1 1/2 year old all week while DD studied for a test forward her PHD. We have got nothing done. We will keep them Wednesday morning through Thursday evening next week while she goes to take her test. And we have to take DGD 11 year old to Tennis Camp next week at 10:30 and pick her up at 12:00, DD is going to look into a neighbor helping out on that. Meanwhile, we are swarmed here. Know where you're coming from.

Only 4 meat chickens? :thGet 'em off the feed bill and put them on the menu. Sell some goats and pigs, you'll feel accomplished for doing so. :thumbsup

Didn't exactly turn out the way I intended it to, lol!

I know you love spending time with the grands - but they sure do take precedence over just about anything farm related...except when you can put 'em to work, lol.
 
Soo, I asked DH to pour me a glass of wine after dinner. He had jalapenos with his dinner - jalapeno's that he ate with his fingers....and then touched my glass...so now I'm drinking wine out of a jalapeno flavored wine glass. UGH!

Just call me hot lips, lol!!

Conan is taller than the nigi and the pygmy and the small kinder buck...but he's got a ways to go before he catches the big kinder buck and nowhere near as tall as Dusty, who is just a giant. He needs to fill out - he's a lightweight so far. But, he's full of spit and vinegar as my gramma would've said!

I'm going to go ahead and try to sell two of the smaller does. I like them a lot and won't really care if they don't sell. I'm just trying to transition to bigger goats, but it won't hurt my feelings if they stay here, lol. (And that's why I have so many goats!)

Need to get those bucklings listed. Can't get the little buggers to stand still for a good picture. They are perpetual motion!
