We aimed for 8-10 feet on depth but not sure we ever made 10 - maybe in the middle of the middle, but closer to 8 feet out towards the edges with petty steep banks on 3 sides. One side has a more gently sloped bank.

With the lower water level and the heat I was beginning to worry about the O2 levels. However, I guess the smaller showers we had off and on for weeks kept things ok. The latest and biggest rain put everything back to its normal level.

I fished a little a couple weeks ago and was pleased to see that the fish are fat, fat, fat! I can also see baby fish of various sizes close to the edge when I feed. I've read that one way to tell if your pond is overstocked is the absence of minnows. I see plenty of minnows, so I guess we've got a pretty good balance. I plan to harvest some bluegill this fall. Future fish fry!!

Dried off last week. This gal wants to milk so she's pretty annoyed at me right now. That's ok - I'm over it even if she isn't, lol.
