Got lots to do today - glad it won't be hot outside while I'm doing 'em.

Aaaand - what did I do outside today. Nothing, nada, zilch! It's been crazy windy all day. Forty plus gusts with high sustained winds made it a no fun day to be outside. Not a good day to try to do anything except dodge the falling tree limbs. Any branches that were compromised just gave up. I have a bit of cleanup to do.

Brooder is ready for its upcoming new inhabitants. Sixteen little ones will hopefully be here tomorrow. Got confirmation that they were shipped today. I bought them from a hatchery in Texas so hopefully they won't be on the road too long.

Tomorrow should be a better day to be outside. Starting out in the mid 40's (brrrr) but heading to a high of 70ish. No rain in the forecast until Saturday. I'm ok with that!

We should be good today - winds in the 10-15mph range instead of the craziness from yesterday.

Hoping for a call from the post office this morning. Need to get my chicks in a nice warm brooder!
