Frustratedearthmother's Journaling Journey

Happy Mother's Day!

Up and at 'em this morning. First cup of coffee almost done and will be headed for another soon.

Not only is it Mother's Day, but it's my son's b'day. We will get together in the early afternoon and have a low-key celebration. Gonna grill some burgers and watch a movie in DS's theater room.

I thought about baking him a cake, but he much prefers a treat called Christmas Crack. It's yummy!

It's been a quiet couple of days. I had picked this weekend as the time to sell some animals but because there was rain in the forecast for the entire weekend I didn't post them for sale. Do you think it rained a drop? Not! Ok, that's not totally true...we had a few drips from the sky on Friday, but nothing since.

It never fails , we have total cloud cover, could use a rain, but I seriously

You're a good son!

i wasn't sure what my back would think of it all, but so far it hasn't complained a bit - we'll see what tomorrow feels like. normally i don't want to do any kind of heavy lifting in the morning but at least i'd been up for a few hours first and moving around a little so perhaps that was a good thing. glad we got it done... :)

Always lots going on. Garden is on cruise control right now except for mulching the walkways which happens sporadically. I need to order more stuff so I can have more cardboard, lol. Chewy order coming this week with three big boxes expected - that'll help. I got my first harvest yesterday. Accidentally knocked a developing bell pepper off the plant.

Sold a couple of the piglets Friday. Nice to see them go. Two down and three remaining. Might hang on to the remaining female just as a companion to the sow. Thinking of moving them out to the pasture and freeing up a pen. I'd love to turn them ALL loose, but that would result in more babies. Don't really want or need that right now.

Granddaughter is graduating Friday night. That means another road trip! Thankfully this one will only be a 4ish hour drive up, one overnight stay and home the next morning. We will be traveling in my truck so that means I need to do a quick clean-up. Inside isn't horrible but the bed has remnants of many trips to get grain/hay/shavings. Need to get that cleaned out and ready for wheelchair, walker, luggage and all other "just in case" items we will bring with.
