glenolam's madness - April passed away

Ha ha ha ha ...how did we move it.

I'll give you the skinny on it.

It took 4 adults (2 men and 2 women) and 3 kids (all under 7 yrs). Well, the 2 men moved it while the 2 women and 3 kids supervised.

The tools involved were: a trailor just big enough to leave big ol red marks on the sides of the shed (look at pictures # 1 and # 2), a come along winch, cable cords, some 4x4 posts and 2 car jacks.

Then some heaving and hoeing while *ahem* we women stood there in awe of the masculinity right before our very eyes.

But the man I bought the shed from wasn't there - he was at his new house so he sent his female cousin over to meet us. I knew it was gonna be a long and fun morning when I gave her the cash and she said "Ok - so you men got this right? I'm gonna treat these ladies to a drink at the bar".... hee hee hee.... Then some comments about shockers and where to stick those 4x4s....yes. It was an event.

That's what I thought. I need a barn like that but my yard is about 10 ft higher in elevation than my driveway. I have found a few really well priced ones on CL. But I have no idea how we would get it up there. I think it would be easier to just build in place.

It is really nice. Great find.

Hey Glen, we are going to go to TSC and get a gallon of the bedliner paint and put that on our floor. That way we can just spray it off if we need to cause our milk barn is just like yours. I had to milk in a downpour this morning too and it was so nice to be under roof and out of it all!

Looks good!
