Well that post of yours was very educational to me, I've been feeding a selenium pellet for horses as well. I see I've also been dosing too high, I've been giving mine 27 ppm about every other day now that I read the bag and do the math. I think I will lay right off of THAT! Wowza.

But I don't think yours will die of that dose if mine have had that much each week. In fact, they look great.

Thank you very much for sharing that dosage, I think I will cut that back to a miniscule amount.

I wish we had a "Like" button here. I am soooo glad to hear this too. Glenolam, I hope yours are fabulously fine, and SD, good to hear you checked and can cut yours down.

I'm wondering how much mine get in the Red Cell I sometimes dose them with. Will have to take notes and check

FWIW, yes, they're alive today. I did read that some animal testing center did a study on overdosing selenium and it said that death occurred anywhere from 2 hours - 21 days, the sooner had a stronger over dose and the latter a smaller amount. Here's the article, it's very vague and doesn't say too much. The test was very long and spread out, so I found it only slightly comforting since this was a one time dose, not 225 days long....
