Cool gift, BB!

Hope you don't mind me peeking over your shoulder but I'm living vicariously through you on this hatch! Just can't figure out where I'd put my 'bator (which is in the shed, collecting dust) in our camper (and I have been trying to figure it out ever since we got electric, almost a year ago! ).

Eventually, we will get the cabin built and when we retire the camper as our home hubby's already said that it could make a great "hatch house" for me! Yay, something else I have to be patient about!!!

You've always aim high! Anything less that a 75% hatch rate, 3-1 Female to Male ratio, and you'll be asking what went wrong!

So what exactly are your goals for this effort?

Well maybe but Im really just trying it out. We'll see when we get there.

My goals are to learn how to operate an incubator sucessfully and prepare for a large hatch of buff orps in the Spring to sell

And with the chicks that hatch, Im gonna experiment with them too. However many hatch will be fed a feed I make out ground corn, eggs, and scraps. And I want to keep a rooster out of this hatch too.

Buff Puff...is that a Little Giant brand bator I spy? If so, just a heads up, they are notorious for being hard to maintain correct humidity during hatches. Might wanna keep your eye on that.
