Im starting get an aroma in my room that I whiff every now and then. Uh oh!!

Was that after you brought the eggs in or before?

I think I mentioned this might be an issue.........

Day 4 is complete!!

I got a hydrometer and stabilized humidty at around 50% this afternoon, which is what its supposed to be according to How to Hatch Eggs

hydrometer? What does that have to do with hatching eggs? I use one when I am home brewing to calculate the strength of the brew and to indicate when fermertation has stopped. I have heard that some people use a egg inplace of a hydrometer to check that their brine was strong enough "to float an egg''. so what good are they to hatch an egg? ~gd

~gd, it is used to measure humidity. Sometimes incubators wont keep a stable humidity, and it needs to be check.....I actually need to add water tonight.....

Maybe give it a day or two more? I get my chicks already hatched!

Give em the sniff test. Not TOO close, if they are going "off" you'll know it from several inches away. They smell like death
