I'm thinking my silkie roo George, who is such a good little roo, really would look nice hanging around with a couple of silkie girls. DH seems to think 13 chickens is plenty. Pfffft!

oh yes that roo would love a few girlfriends....just explain it that way to hubby, how can he deny girls for that roo? he will cave..HA HA HA

I agree, explain that the Roo needs hens. As a guy he will understand that. Or after my DH watched the Discovery Channel (I think or could have been Animal Planet or something) show about Silkies being the closest living relative of dinosaurs. He became extremely interested in my Silkies.
Maybe yours will go for the "Not letting the dinosaurs go extint" route. Seems to be working with mine.

He solved the problem for me this morning by telling me he could use a few new pairs of drumsticks!! LOL, I'm not sure how silkies will feel about having their feet beaten against his drum set but he did say drumsticks!

Oh H23 - your hubby is a drummer. How cool is that? Mine is too. I bought him some "hot sticks" (I think thats what they are called) last year for his birthday. They look like wooden skewers wrapped in big rubber bands. Don't ask me. I can't carry a tune in a bucket with a lid on it and know absolutely nothing about music.
I went and ask him - they are called Hot Shots. He loves them.
Just a little extra gift idea for your drummer.

Mine has those too! He gave me the exact brand and type he wants so I'll just order them. He just asked for one pair. I'll get a spare pair also.
