Yeh. But all I remember is saying letters over and over and over and over... I didn't understand how any of it worked. *annoyed*

So I'd try to make their mouth shapes and it always felt like they were yelling at me, and mad.

I later read notes about it (found one record of it at my mom's house) and they were apparently frustrated that I'd know a lesson, and then not know it. And then know it. And then not know it. *laughs*

SOunds right for a lot of our kiddos. I was evesdropping in the hallways to see who had made gains on their own over the summer and who had lost everything they'd learned.....

Yeppers. I'm not sure both my parents knew I was in speech therapy. Or either of them. Hard to tell.

They're fun! Tomorrow he gets hot dog octopuses. (Octopi?) Take a hot dog (Organic grass fed beef here...) and slice about 1/3 the way up so that you have 8 tentacles. Boil until the tentacles curl! SOmetimes he wants a thermos of bloody worms. Hot dogs slice into thin strips and boiled, served with ketchup. Yum yum!

Lots of great sites out there with ideas galore. I wish I had done more when he was younger. Some people turn it into a real art form!

I have this book and love it! Just can't use a lot of the ideas without adapting them anymore. Darn rice allergy!

Forgot to mention the local teacher who was arrested for attacking a police officer over the weekend along with her DH. Oy! Just what our system needs to elevate its image!

Heh. I adore Bento. I mean, you do have to entice kids to eat and it's a great method.
