~Make currant jelly with the 7 cups of juice I got from the berries I picked. Check- got 12 half pint of ruby red currant jelly!
~Make chevre. Moved to today's list
~Make deviled eggs for the 2 parties we are invited to today. We were already at one last night, complete with fireworks. Check-made one dozen each for two different parties. No left overs.
~Clean goat stall. Moved to this evening's list
~Set up altar for church tomorrow. Check
~Feed friends' cats and water plants. Check X 2 Two more days of care for them!
~Church in the am tomorrow. Check Gotta love an antil Monsanto sermon....
~Leave immediately after church for the parade. DS and I march with Cub Scouts. DH marches with his hovercraft team. They will "fly" a craft down Main Street. Check and check Pictures later
~Make more deviled eggs for the party we are invited to tomorrow evening. See above

Also attended a pool party after the parade for which I made guacamole. That lasted less than 10 minutes....
I'm exhausted. I slept until 9am! Poor Donki thought I'd forgotten her! Taking it slow today, cleaning, etc. Heat wave is upon us!

DS just found a garter snake on the front porch. It slithered into the foundation when he stepped out. The house will be on the market tomorrow. Ew!

Sounds like you have had a couple really busy days. Take time to relax. Stay cool.

How is ds doing on drinking goat milk? Does he have any side effects?

Man, it's hot out there!!
DS seems to be okay on Donki's milk! I'm thrilled. He hasn't gotten a lot of sleep and does have slight dark circles under his eyes, but they don't seem to be the reddish allergic ones he gets when he reacts to something.
Yesterday at the pool party he grabbed a juice pouch without checking with me. It didn't have an indiviidual label so he couldn't check ingredients. It was Kool Aide. Sure enough, an hour or so later he had a loose BM....

Glad to hear he is doing well with the goat milk.

I think the sugar in those drinks would do that to anyone. Especially those who normally have limited sugar intake.

He probably would have been okay if it were sugar rather than corn syrup. I've been letting him have cane syrup sweetened root beer on the weekends. Love that a 6 pack last three weekends!

Nah, just a quip because I HATE snakes!!!
Turns out the snake could have come in handy. I guess you know it's hot when you find a toad hopping across your living room floor. Yup, did just now! I was sitting on the couch watching Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations, sweating and coughing (dang summer colds) and saw a movement. I quickly curled my feet under me figuring it was a mouse, but the movement was all wrong. It was a medium sized toad, heading right for me. I scooped him up in the waste basket and released him in the front yard.


I hate this weather, almost as much as I hate snakes....
