One last, not so great, photo for the day. All tucked in for the night. Wish we had tomorrow off too, but at least it's a late opening and DH will hold down the fort here.

Well, busy week of shoveling out. I haven't seen that much snow from one storm ever! More nastiness possibly on the way tomorrow, but ice this time. Not good. I hate ice!
We're home for MLK Jr. Day. DS has a buddy over. They're out hanging out with the animals after working on their Pinewood Derby cars and playing Wii for a bit. I fed them some lunch and kicked 'em out. Too much energy for this little house. I've been decluttering bit by bit. Every little bit has helped. We didn't have too much of a panic cleaning the house for the playdate. Mostly just a little surface area picking up and regular weekend cleaning. I took a break to check emails etc. then I will start making some food for the week.
It's my mother's birthday today. She wants us to go to Ruby Tuesday's with her and dad. They do a grilled chicken meal for kids, but twice now DS has ordered it and they brought chicken tenders by mistake. I had to send them back. Not my first choice of places to eat. We'll try again tonight. If they screw up again I'm done with them.
I need to start a new batch of kombucha. And check on the kids and the animals. It's cooooooold out there!

Wow! I didn't realize there were still Ruby Tuesdays around. When we lived in the Houston area, the one nearest us closed. And a couple years ago the one at our local mall here in Ashtabula closed as well. ....

Your day sounds a bit like mine. The weekend chores and decluttering carried over to today. I helped my girls do a once over on their rooms and closets.
DS had a friend over. I hate to admit it but I kept trying to kick them out and they kept coming back. It was to hot out. We hit 83 this after noon. I wish we had some snow. Maybe that would have helped.
Good luck with the restaurant tonight. Maybe if you get there a bit before the evening rush she won't be so frazzled.
