Well, there were three kids entered and three events and guess what? Each one took a blue ribbon in one of the events! Working on pictures. They are too cute. DS rode Marvin, the little pony and a 7 yo girl rode Paddy, a huge Shire! She's bigger than DS but it's still pretty funny!

I know I saw a class a few years ago, the kids had to lead their horses in a pattern, and do various things. There was this one, itty bitty tiny girl, cute as a button. She and the horse were supposed to trot from 1 point to another. So, as soon as she reached that point, she started to trot. However, the horse (which looked quite large next to her) was able to just continue ambling along. It was sooooo cute.

That would be Paddy. He's HUGE!

Awww, I hope they gave the horse points for still not trotting! It was so polite to not outpace her, and did the right thing despite it being the wrong thing!

A friend of mine a few years back was trying to teach a group of youngsters to do a Showmanship event in which they lead the horse. Her students were all walking around with the horse and staring at their shoes! She just couldn't figure out the problem for a long time. Then one of the kids finally solved the problem for her. "Well, you TOLD me to watch my feet when leading the horse!" :lau :gig

You're welcome! Looking at the last picture, I think without a rider, Marvin could walk right under Paddy's belly if he just lowered his head a bit!
