You could come visit me this fall when I am ready to butcher my meaties for the year. I could always use a good hand. :)

Woot! Thanks FF!!!

I needs to learn how. Hen can come too and learn to not be chicken ;)

And then I'll fly home with her.

*grins*

Really, I do wanna figure out how to afford to visit folk.

Well we were talking about renting out Barred Buff for a week, kind of a rent-a-James.

I have a lot of sewing needs, can we have a rent-an-abi? hee hee

Okay! :D

I can do that LOL.

I shoulda spent this morning cutting out my petticoats instead of goofing off online >.>

Oh, those lead line class pictures bring back memories of my kids! What fun. My daughter wouldn't wait until she was six to take lessons- she bugged the children's instructor at the barn incessantly so she got to ride when she was 5- and her first lead line class was that summer. I have some pictures around somewhere. I will have to look.

That was my niece. She begged and begged. She was big for her age and I guess that helped.
Abi, I have been present at "Chickenstock" gatherings where processing took place. Couldn't do it. I had to be out of site and ear shot. I don't thin:/k it's ever going to happen. :/

4 more days until vacation. Today at the HS was relatively calm all things considered. I only saw 5 kids by the time the day was over, due to a number of absences and a field trip. I did get almost all of my monthly paperwork done. I suspect thursday and Friday to be a lot louder and more obnoxious if the recent patterns hold. I do have a new HS student quote of the day for you:
I heard a noise outside my open doorway and realized just before I turned to look that it was a girl and her boyfriend "saying goodbye" in a very slurpy sloppy manner, about 5 minutes after the bell had rung. He left, she stuck her head in the Spanish classroom and hollered, "Miss, I'm going to use the bathroom." Her teacher replied, "We're taking a test and you're already late!" The student replied, "I am NOT late! I'm only TARDY!" Okay, that one's still got me scratching my head. Maybe not quite so amusing as last week's, "I'll be right back. I've got a bingo chip in my leggings." but whacky all the same. I think I am going to keep a collection of these. Oy!
Tonight meant Cub Scouts and baseball all at the same time. I managed to get us out the door on time and fed. DS went to baseball and I went to Cub Scouts. I did have 3 out of 5 boys come so that was fun. Two had baseball. That's just the way it is in spring. I did get a heads up that DS's coach has a habit of being late to games. We had that problem with last year's coach. I hope he's got his act together this year.

the best teen quote i have is from a teenANGER from our family. she was being punished (rightly so) and the parents took away her CD's for a week. she burst into tears and declared how unfair it was... so there she was sobbing on my shoulder when she said......

I CAN'T BE WITHOUT MY MUSIC! I NEEEEEEEEEEED MY MUSIC! MY MUSIC IS MY OXYGEN!

i could barely keep a straight face and now whenever TBM or i need something we say

"my ________________ is my oxygen" and then just laugh laugh laugh

by far one of the best lines ever.
