Yup, camp for a week! I thought I'd hate having him gone but I don't. I love it when he comes home but he has so much fun there and it's so well run (and church pays for him to go.....) so YAY!
He goes to Cub Scout camp in August for another week, but so do I. :/

The one he's at this week is run by the Episcopal Church of Connecticut. Lots of fun camp stuff plus church!

self explanatory unless you're my dad who was completely clueless about this one (pun intended)

for the beekeepers out there, they're there every year handing out Bit o'Honeys which are less than 2% honey and mostly corn syrup :/

And that is a synopsis of our crazy parade! No hovercraft this year. DH usually has his kids fly one that is tethered at the corners. But new noise ordinances and the fact that his new school isn't really part of this community kept him from doing it. Oh well!

I'm officially the only human in residence here for the next 4 days! DH just left for his training. All is quiet and still for the moment. It's warm, I should do laundry or weed or something but I think a short nap is in order! I've got a nice steak to grill for my dinner, some lettuce and greens from the garden for a salad, and maybe even a ripe grape tomato! I need to do laundry so I have clean clothes to wear to the beach tomorrow, plus pack a few things for that. I could head to my parents' for dinner but I'm honestly happier here so I can wallow in my loneliness, should I actually get to feeling lonely. Right now I just need to hear that DH has reached New Haven in one piece and I'll be fine! Really! Looks like the neighbor nextdoor is piling things up for a bonfire later. I think I will sit on my deck and watch from there. There should be some booms going on around me and I can keep the animals calm. Friday will be here before I know it, I'm sure!

Looks like Blumenthal needed better deo, and that woman...walking in heels...I bet her feet are swollen now!! I'd NEVER walk a parade in heels like that! Funny the beekeepers were handing out Bit O Honey Looks like a nice parade, HOT, but nice. I enjoyed the pics It's 96 here, so I'm staying home...wouldn't wanna melt before getting my work finished this week!

A little cooler here than that but it's warm. I thought about editing out that pit stain, but sometimes it's nice to see a politician sweat! I marched in sneakers in the past and my feet hurt after THAT!!!
