I love them too- I especially like that they aren't fence fliers. I don't have a problem with overhead predators do that's not a problem. If you ever reach a place where you are comfortable selling eggs just let me know.

I have some issues with split wing I'm trying to get rid of. I've had some really good wings on some now.

Then there is the stupid recessive white that apparently one of my foundation birds carried. I've had four white chicks hatch out over the years. I should be having more this hatch because I actually set a few eggs from the pen that Ashes is in. All nicely marked so I have to pay attention at hatch time and Blukote a foot to mark them.

Interesting. Our lone silkie was from hatchery lines. I wonder if they're breeding aggression in accidentally with their stock. He was fine with people, but he even tried to discipline the dogs! Lol

I think this is chicken of the woods. It's pretty small still so I'll make double sure I have a positive identification on it before I try eating it later on.
