Is that Mt. Rainier in those pics? ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! We talk about mountains here in the Pocono Mountains, but they are just "mounds" compared to the mountains out west.

Yes it's Mount Rainier. We're only 26 miles from the summit as the crow flies. We have a few spots of the side of the road that I like to take pictures from.

A first attempt at a christmas picture. After fighting with Ashes over it for half an hour, I got one picture. I'm setting stuff up to take a better one. He was not happy with me.

I don't use a point and shoot camera for those pictures. My cell phone doesn't take nearly as good of pictures as the actual camera. Some of it is luck with the wild birds. Most of it is taking 50-100 pictures to get one good one.

Silkie chickens will sit where you put them. I've been teaching the white rooster to pose since he was a teenager so he is very good at it.

This is what pictures tend to come out like during much of our year with the clouds and rain. It was just afternoon when I took this, so it was a bright as it was going to get.
