Thanks Monica :)
I ended up using a different recipe but will try yours again!

As to the poster who talked about using old buns for garlic bread...I chop up and throw in the freezer any old bread, sandwich, buns, focaccia, whatever. Then I pull out what I need to make my own croutons. (sp?) Heat up some butter & olive oil and fresh garlic to infuse the garlic flavor(herbs too, whatever you like)....toss cubed bread in the oil butter mixture, then pop in a warm oven to dry out. I also sprinkle on Parmesan and a little kosher salt while they are still damp from the butter & oil.
Super yummy in salads and it is great to minimize the bread waste:)

I use any leftover bread, crumbs from sandwiches, etc. to make my own breadcrumbs.
I also make croutons now and then.

I use my one or two left over buns for garlic bread too. No sense in it going to waste is there?
I use bread heels for making croutons. I need to make some before Thanksgiving.
