How do you move 16 ft cattle pannels????

Well, I considered the hog panels. However, they are only 3 ft tall...I sure dont see how they keep a hog in! AND they are more expencive. I was thinking I could get several more, and use them for the goats. My friend did her area for her goats with them, and they seem to hold up LOTS better than my fence has. :/ I never thought about haveing them cut them in half...Jeesh! That sure would make them easier to handle. Thanks OFG!

the hog panels we get are a bit taller than 3ft but not quite 4 if i remember..... ours keep our mean ol gander in, the ducks, dogs, turkeys... etc etc

and heh heh heh.. yep they keep the hogs in. we only had once instance of them trying to climb over. it didnt work out very well for that pig, if you know what i mean

Well, yea, that's how we hauled them...when Becca and I loaded the cattle panels first at TSC and then stopped at Lowe's and made the Lowe's employees UNDO the cattle panels to load the lumber, and then put the cattle panels back.....

well, I Think we almost got banned from Lowe's over that one.

I know what ya mean there. When this guy saw I was driving an S10, he called for backup! LOL It took the 3 of us to get them bent into shape! LOL

My guy at the SS must have been experienced at it....he did it himself and he didn't even want to tie them in...said they would ride that way! I drove down the street a ways and then tied them in myself. No way was I going to drive around top heavy with two large pieces of metal bent into a high tensioned arc!

When we hauled ours we just had a regular pickup. Now we have a 1 ton flatbed with a long bed with built in straps and a huge brushguard. I thought we had it made until we hauled 20 20 ft sticks of 1 3/4 in. pvc for the greenhouse! Came to find out that the entire big ol' truck wasn't 20 feet long. We had them shoved through the brush guard, down the side and strapped in the back and they still hung over about a foot. On both sides! Guy at the hardware store thought it was funny and told us it looked like we'd have to Bo Duke it in and out till we got home. We still had to stop for feed too!

yep.. when we are fully loaded we say that we are driving the 'hobo truck' and its all hilarious to all the folks in their shiny lexus cars.... but it works!

I know a lady who used to transport them with a '96 Ford Escort wagon. Loaded them right over the top.. Those of you who are familiar with cattle panels will know that they're droopy anyway.. So, they just sorta bowed over the car, with about a foot hanging off each end.

I always thought she should have just tack welded one permanently in place and given herself a "Mad Max," post-apocalyptic version of the '96 Ford Escort Wagon.
