Heather, you might want to consider having a few of the metal lids on hand if you ever might want to give some of your canned goods away as gifts. Getting the jars back is hard enough; getting your Tattler lids back would probably be harder still - in good condition at any rate.
I have been using the Tattler lids as well (well, the few I have :lol:), and like them very much; don't think I would give them away though.

I know this is an old post, but I am going to have to check and see if my Lowes carries the lids. Thanks for the heads up! Around me anything to do with canning, including the lids are soooo expensive since no one cans around here. Everyone uses them for crafts, if at all. I have been reticent to try the reusable kinds, but it is good to here others like them and they are worth the investment.
