I wouldn't find that annoying---I would have been laughing so hard she would have had to help me back up off the floor.

I would just say we sure aren't needy and let it go---that is just funny to me......but I know it hit ya wrong---so be big and just forget it.

I remember moving from a town in California which was really a nice place, but our neighbors thought we were poor because we didn't give our child 100 dollars to blow at the mall every weekend like they did. My daughter actually thought we were poor, too!but you know how teens can be.... we decided we needed to move to where people spent more reasonable amounts on things such as clothing for growing children. I'm proud to say that now that she is an adult, she proudly shows me the great deals she finds at the Goodwill and Value Village on her lovely wardrobe.

Me? I'd find a family that could really use her altruism and then call her bluff.... let her put her money where it will do some good!
