I just got a "survey" from our local State Representative to gather his constituents "opinions on the topics". I noticed right away that the wording of the questions was completely biased to make you back what they want to do. For instance, (I am making up these numbers) the state has a budget excess of $24 million, do you want to:
a) add it to the Local Education Budget to support our childrens education
b) return it to taxpayers as a tax credit
c) give it to the University System to help hold Higher education costs down.

Hey, REP! How about using those dollars to pay off the debt/bond load that is eating up most of the Dept. of Transportation budget. It would be nice to be able to fix the failing road systems...

It is the same idea of paying off your credit cards instead of just getting more credit cards.
