Oh I have a new plan for around the garden: now that it appears I have an endless supply of woodchips I'm going to be making that area mow-less.
Will also be using those chips as a mulch first and then moving it to the paths between the beds. And will be leaving the woodchip mulch around the melon and squash beds/mounds.

Pretty much there is just going to be woodchips everywhere lol

After temperatures in the 50's this weekend we had a sudden drop and a lot of snow yesterday. It's driving me mad, this weather. Teasing me with warmth and then snow, to remind me winter is not done yet.

Everywhere !!

I am right there on the green & yellow line in VA. I will be doing some direct seeds & some transplants in March. Not that far away.....unless it snows again!! Some of the deepest snows we've had here have been first week of March. Hope the foot we had in first week of Jan was it, instead. :caf

From what I heard locally snow here in December is almost unheard of and some years it doesn't snow here at all, but we had quite a bit in December last year already. It makes me wonder what February and March has in store, as those are our coldest months :\ Much as I love the snow, I'm starting to look forward to spring and summer more and more.
