Java. the end.

We got snow up here. Luckily we only got a couple of inches. Already got everything cleared since they are forecasting 1-2" of ice tonight. Cleveland got about 6" of snow so I'm very thankful that I didn't have that much to remove. I'm hoping it doesn't turn out as bad as they say. I better shower today too, just in case the power goes out.

I hope your drake heals up.

It sounds like the perfect day to bake cookies and lounge by the fire!

Stay safe...and warm!

It wasn't Fran that slipped. It was one of the drakes. No, Fran is out there ice skating and hanging out under the trampoline and jumping up to get the icicles that are hanging off the edge. :P And there's a puddle under the trampoline so they are in ducky heaven. I made a long straw path from the coop to the trampoline for them to walk on.

I'm very concerned about the rest of the storm that's coming. The trees are all sagging under the weight already. Ugh.

The goat report for the day is: staying inside, chowing some hay, chewing that cud, rinse and repeat. Nothing to do but lay around and grow them babies. And boy are they! Rory has really rounded out and Perdy's, um...girly parts are getting swollen and soft and there are babies all over her - I felt one on top of her rumen just going crazy. 10 days or so to go...

I know I'm counting the days to kidding too, Java. My girls are getting less active. I was laughing at Ginger trying to scratch her head with her back foot. Her belly is so big she has to kinda squat. It reminded me of when I tried to apply nail polish when pregnant.

I sure hope the weather clears out after this so you have good weather for kidding.

If we get an inch or more of rain and more ice, the goats are going to have to learn how to swim

More to come, they are loading slow today...

i have to go out and slide around in the hen yard in a minute - i didnt even let the goats out and they are having an uprising over the rough treatment. sheesh!

Boy, that sure looks like a lot of fun to walk in. The ice started coming down about 1:30pm. It is light but has coated everything. DH is finishing up plowing the driveway. Nothing but fun around here! :D
