Life on the farm is NOT kinda laid back.

Share your "farming" mishaps or misfortune. Raising chickens, gardening, and all kinds of farming type areas are welcome.

My latest. Picked up a large, 4' long 28" or so diameter, piece of pecan tree with my tractor bucket. Very heavy. One of the front wheels caught a root while I was backing up and turning putting a lot of stress on the steering mechanism. Now I have a bent steering linkage, think of the front wheels being pigeon toed now. I can't remove the bent linkage so I can replace it. Time to call for some mechanical help from my brother-in-law.

UGH Dacs
that is just lousey
I hate big machinery troubles
We sure have those on the farm...with our tractors there is one that always has problems

not long ago FIL was bushhogging a small field and he blew a tire on those sharp stumps that were left...Tony said the saplings were too big for general bushhoggin' but Ralph did it anyway and it cost a small fortune to fix that stupid tire! yikes.....

if it can go wrong, it will :p
