Massachusetts State Police is the first law enforcement agency in the country to use Boston Dynamics' dog-like robot, called Spot. That's raising questions from civil rights advocates about how much oversight there should be over police robotics programs.

Can't decide what I think of this yet. (If it's even real. There have been stories in the past with a similar theme that turned out to be more along the line of "this might be where robotics are headed") I can see it saving a lot of cop lives, but I can also see lots of potential for "accidental deaths" and stuff. How is the company going to enforce their "no weaponizing" clause if the government decides it wants to anyway?
