ETR, thanks for the idea. I always have a bit of celery left that goes limp and usually goes to one of the animals.

I'm taking your lead, and going to give dehydrating celery a try.

I have some onions that need to be used and I've tossed around the idea of dehydrating them. But.........I just don't think I want the onion smell in the house. I like onions, but that might be too much.LOL

:p I didn't keep up with the herb drying this year so did a mathon drying thing with thyme (ran out of time :lol: ) when I saw it start to flower. I put lots of it in my two dehydrators and went out to do chores.
When I came back and walked in the door, it was like someone whacked me in the face. The odor was so strong that I started sneezing and my eyes watered.
It was days befoer it all aired out. :th

This makes me wish I'd given that dehydrator I saw at the thrift store the other day another look.
