Blackbird...I did tap the larger ones on the head...then Casper drew away from me..and gave me the saddest look. I felt terrible! After I went in there....he was OK again..and came for scratches.
I will try that with Bambam. He WILL learn! ( i hope)

Thinking your a small woman like my mother was, she got knocked down by a billy goat we had taken from a friend in bad times. That only happened once as far as I can remember. I don't remember what she did to fix the problem. The goat would back away from the gate when she would raise her voice. He too was stinky bugger, hence why I have no goats or even consider getting any.

Well MP....I cant say I am a tiny woman...but short! LOL
That little goat sure gave me a run for my money yesterday...but today when I went out there with my goat stick...they ALL backed away!! LOL
The wethers dont smell...I like them...but Bambam...WOW!! He makes up for the 3 larger males in S T I N K! THATS why he will get his OWN little hut, and NOT be allowed in the barn. I dont want my SHEEP smelling like a goat!

Yesterday was fairly productive...and I use the word "fairly" loosley! LOL Not that I got a whole bunch done....however, my BIL is here for the week, working on livestock racks for my truck. He is a welder..I have the chainlink pipes...and truck! LOL
I had a small chainlink gate I wanted to use for the goat area, to seperate the boys from Pebbles. He and I managed to fix it up, and get the small piece of fence and gate in. Now, Pebbles can graze in the sun, and not have to run from the big boys. She sure seems happy!
I have Nelly in her stall. She has a "door" that opens to the outside. She cant get out, but gets plenty fresh air and sunshine. Hopeing she lambs soon. She has been laying around more and more...and haveing a hard time with Sonny thinking he needs to breed anything that doesnt move. :/ HIS pen will come next. Have to get him away from the gals for the summer.
So, my 2 pregger girls have thier own areas....and the boys are fairly content to woo them through the fence....so far.
The turkeys are laying...chicken eggs are coming better....and the ducks are happy as a pig in mud...over the mud.
Today I will be cleaning out the barn...moveing things up and out..and hopeing I can get it finished.

So I was headed out this morning, to a friends house. She is going on vacation...and I will be careing for her 2 goats for a week. I was going over there for her to show me where everything is...and her routine...when I glanced at the pasture..and saw my Nelly, in the pasture, with a little LAMB!!! I RAN out there...and scooped up the baby...and Nelly followed me to the stall..where I placed the baby by her side. I then proceeded to get hay for Nelly..and her grains...and was going to throw some hay to the goats, when I noticed the little boy had gotten over there. NOT with the goats, just on the other side of the barn. My Nelly had 2 little lambs.

Everyone....meet Laura....

And...Albert.

We have 2 little ones....and I cant be more thrilled. Our FIRST babies!! The weather is supposed to be NEAR 80 this week! Good time to have babies !
