JUSTUSNAK...Summer coming to an end!?

:lau Flowers in your meatie coop?! You are hilarious!!!

I do love it though, really perks up the place :gig

FF I love that coop you posted too!

ok two things:

1. this is the funnest sentence EVER:
"I decided to put my little Frizfriz in there with the stinkies...."

2. its beautiful!!!! yay you! dontcha just love a couple good days of non-work and farm beautification!?

yay you!!!

:-)

OOOH I LOVE the mis-tinted paint section. The current coop I am working on right now will be a grayish white inside with periwinkle blue nest box and trim! I will have to post pictures of this one as well.

For all of you scoffers out there wondering why we spend our precious free time painting the inside of a chicken coop I will tell you why. The paint seals the wood making it more moisture resistant and easier to clean. It might as well be cute in the process! :D

Love the coop and the feeder- I am inspired now! Can't wait for pics of the next one

Tanks...the flowers...well..the pots were just in the back yard from last year...and the fake flowers I found in a box in the garage! LOL Nothing big...just to add some color. :D OK, so I cheated! LOL
Dace...That little coop and run is always so....well...dismal....yukky. It really NEEDED something...especially if my little " queen Frizfriz" is to be in there. She demanded color. :/ Can we say spoiled???
OFG...every once in a while...I just need a "pretty day" We dont have flower beds...hubby is alergic to bees...so I dont really want to draw them close to the house. I DO have my Irises...planted around the pig pen. LOL
TT...here is a pic of the inside of the large coop...we dubbed the West coop. We built this coop...30 x 12 with 3 windows, 4 pens, and a closet...for under $500. MOST of the materials were free! Even the chain link....8 ft tall..I traded for 3 hens! LOL
My walkway.....

This is a pic of the pens, inside. There are 4 of them, all are about 6x8.

This was as we were constructing the yards. There is 8 ft chain link around, and we are putting the new gates on this next month I hope, and topping it to keep the owls and hawks out.

First the flowers and now curtains in the hen house! :clap

My you are up town!
LOL, well....there IS a method to my madness...those windows face the west..in the summertime, I can close those curtains, but open the windows...letting in the air, not the hot sun. In the winter, open the curtains, letting in the warm sun. :D
ETA: Most people DO say I have spoiled chickens....I guess the fans and radio in there doesnt help! LOL

MY idea was to install a hot water tank....and have "warm" water in the winter....on auto waterers. Hubby doesnt think its a good idea. :/ I guess I will have to work on the ceiling fans first! LOL
