JUSTUSNAK...Summer coming to an end!?

Today was a great....US day. I was up early, did the animal chores...ran the water hoses...then hubby and I went to Friendship Indiana. For a week, once in the spring and once in the fall....they have a HUGH swap. Its like....WOW. We love going! There is literally everything there, from new to used, antiques to animals...guns and the sorts. They have shootouts...Native American culture..teepees, tomahawk throws..just everything! Last spring I was able to find a GREAT pitch fork for $3.00. This time I found hinges for the stall doors, $1.00 each, and latches for $2.00 each. We had a great day. Came home, fed animals...and hubby took me out to dinner. Now we are sitting around...just relaxing. What a great day! OH, and hubby agreed...on our anniversary...I want to get wedding band tattoos. We will be together 30 years on October 6th :D I am super excited!!

Sounds like a great day!

My hubby and I will be at 30 years in April. We are definitely some of the lucky ones!

Not only some of the lucky ones....but seems we are also some of the rare ones! :/

that's amzaing that you and your sweetie have 30 years with each other. Have fun choosing the tatoo design.

and good score on the latch and hinges. Did you come home with anything else?

That swap sounds like a lot of fun!

Wow 30 years congrats! We have been together 22, married 20 as of last June- it is sad to me how few couples stay together in this day and time.

We really didnt come home with much...really didnt have the money to spend. :/ Lets see....got the 3 hinges...2 latches...Oh, some older tupperware cereal bowls. I love them! PERFECT size for salads....I bought all 10 she had, for $11. :D I got a new hand sickle....$2.00, hubby got a new pair of super loppers.....for larger branches....$15.00 Oh, and he found a socket he has been looking for...1/4 inch, deep.
Today I worked...and worked...and now I am pooped!!
I set 6 T posts...seems the pig is wanting to get in with the sheep! I fixed HIS wagon..LOL Put the new hinges on the swing gate....put on the 2 latches...rehung a door in the barn, had to raise it some....and fixed Pebbles inside gate. Then I hopped on one mower, hubby on the other, and we were able to get ALL the grass mowed! Whew! Now I have a chicken breast in the oven...and here in a few I will make some cheesy taters....and green beans. Dinner will be done! Oh, I need to get the towels folded. LOL So's I can get me a shower. ;)

OK, this is the pig that the rescue thought was a pot belly. She had her hubby talked about it, and said I can have him for butcher. Woohoo!! He is already 150 pounds EASY! A few more weeks, and we will have fresh pork!
Meet...Mr Bacon! :D

I went to another auction.......and SCORED!!!! I was able to get an 8 qt dutch oven, cast iron, for $9, a dehydrator for $2, and 2 retired Boyd Bears, for $5 each! OK so the bears are not very ss...however, I just couldn't pass them up for that price! As I was leaving, there was a truck pulling out in front of me...He had bought several items, and as he pulled out, something fell off of his truck! I laid on the horn....flashed my lights, he didn't stop. so I put on my flashers..and got out to get it. It is an outboard motor for a boat! I quickly grabbed it and threw it in the back of my truck, and tried to find him...but couldn't. So I called the auction house, and told them what happened..and explained I would bring it back to them tomorrow. They assured me they would be able to find the person who bought it. I just hope it wasn't damaged too much when it fell off of their truck...but I am thinking it was. Oh well. I will return it tomorrow, and hopefully they will find the owner. I am worn out....so headed to bed. Tomorrow, I am canning tomato sauce, YUMMY.
