So, here it is, already the middle of October. YIKES! Where did this summer go? Fall cleaning, preps for the holidays, and yes, still canning. I am still picking green beans, brussel sprouts, and tomatos! Oh, and the peas are still trying. LOL
Today, I will be canning tomato paste.
We have been working on the small coop, put flooring in 3 pens inside. I feel much better with wooden flooring in there. We used large wood crates, tore them down to panels, and fit them in the floors. Free and fairly easy. LOL
I put a front on Tulips hut, ( the PB pig) and filled it with straw. She actually likes it!

I am hopeing she will be warm enough through winter in there as I have no space for her in the barn.
Bambam is " in a mood" something terrible! He has managed to tear out the fence between him and pebbles..and the girls are now bred. :/ A little early for me, but, whatcha gonna do? Looks like we will have March baby pygmys. UGH! I was wanting to waite untill November to breed. Oh well....spring will be fun, once again.
We finally got a little bit of rain. Still under a burn ban...but it will lift soon, I hope. We have a HUGH pile of stuff to get burned off before winter.
This week we will get the finger system finished on the septic. Gravel is delivered, just waiting on the guy to come lay it in. I will be glad when this is done. Our contractor is going to fill in the old septic, tear out a few trees that decided they wanted to grow next to the old tank, and level the ground for my new garden space next spring. I still need to winterize the coops, get the water pan heaters out and make sure they are all working...fill all the feed cans to max, and lay in hay. Whew....one day I will be able to relax, but not today, I have a lady coming over to deliver my goats milk and pick up eggs...so I better scoot!
