JUSTUSNAK...Summer coming to an end!?

Nice rescue!! And Im glad the swan is gone, it'd have got on my nerves :P

Oh what a sweet guy! I would find it very hard to give Freedom up, he would just have to live with us forever.

Teaching him to pull a cart would be such fun, you will have to post pix when you find a cart.Good luck with the training.

I would love to have a lil guy like him, have even mentioned it to DH, but to no avail-someday maybe.

Oh, he is sooo sweet, and LOUD!! I bet his brays carry for miles! Good thing we live in the country! My neighbor texted me earlier...said " I can hear your ass" So I texted her back and said.. "Ooops, excuse me." When I scratch under his chin, his head drops like putty into my hands. Someone loved him at one time....he is so sweet. Now I have to teach him how to lead....something he does NOT like! :/

He is too cute!! I would love to have a little Freedom of my own. But first I need animals that give back more than love. :love If you know what I mean...

So glad you made it out alive with the Swanzilla episode! :hugs

Hubby has brought up adding geese to our menagerie several times only for me to smack the idea down. Ever since I was a kid, geese have had my number.

My aunt took me and my baby sister to her friends place to pick out a sheep and the lady had geese. Sis decided to pet one only to get flailed by it. I stood there laughing about it until it's buddies spied me and I had 5 of them come at me and pay me back for laughing. Been scared of the confounded things ever since and I won't get out of the car if we go somewhere and I see them out in the yard. :hide

Freedom looks like an absolute doll!

Dawn, I have ONE goose....he lives with the duck, mainly to keep an eye on them...and trust me, he DOES! I used to let them all free range...but the last time I did, He didn't back down from me...so, that was the last time. LOL I am thinking I will find ALL of the ducks and goose a home, I just can't handle the smell any more. :sick I am constantly cleaning in there, and it STILL smells. I don't particularly care for duck eggs...and I could never kill one...they are just too darned cute! :love So, I have decided to let someone else feed them. LOL The little Donkey has a purpose...other than being a snuggle buddy...he will protect the sheep. I hope! And, one day, hopefully pull a cart...FULL of veggies from the garden to the roads edge, to sell...then back to the garden area. :D At least, that's the plan. :gig

Are you looking back now and laughing about the swan rescue return? I was laughing so hard! I'm sure it was difficult and am glad you got through it! I love your little Freedom! Such a sweet face! Thanks for the story and have a Happy New Year!

I had heard they were great for flock protection. One good, swift kick and coyote is history!! If nothing else, he'll be a traffic stopper pulling a cartful of veggies!!

Snapshot....yes, I can laugh now...now that it is over. LOL I swear, some of the things I get us in to LOL I should write a book! LOL
Cheerio....IF I can get him to pull, it will be a great help. If not, we have the tractor, but I would rather use grass than gas. ;)
