Awww Your wonderful stories about your dogs, past and present, made me think again about getting us one. I popped into a few charity shops today, looking for books, and in one I stopped to read about an abused dog that they helped. I got chatting with the volunteer that worked there and he gave me a phone number for a lady that runs a rescue centre not too far from here. I'm going to arrange to visit her sometime soonish and see how things go. Maybe she'll have the right dog for us.

I can’t imagine my life without a dog or better yet, dogs!

We always had dogs as I grew up, Bullteriers, and they were wonderful, but then when I was in my early teens my mom spotted a newspaper ad for an accidental batch of Bouvier x Staffordshire Terrier pups… For a few years that dog was my best friend. We lost him in 1998 and I still miss him so much.

Last night I asked him Where’s your bone? He went and got it!
We took him to the vet this morning and he weighed 41 pounds at 3 1/2 months old.

Don't you just hate those neglected dogs. Cute pictures
