Not a clue here. Some of those skills are soon to be lost skills, I'm afraid. I always wanted to learn how to tat, but never did. Good luck on your lace making!

If there are any SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism)groups in your area, you might find someone that does bobbin lace and could teach you.

Ravelry.com is a great help. There's lots of help for the new knitter or crocheter and tons of patterns for knit or crocheted lace. I just bought a tatted ornament last week and would LOVe to learn how to do tatting. :)

I bought an old book on sale on tatting lace. Unfortunately, it assumes a certain knowledge of the subject to start with. Which I don't have. I LOVE lace. :D
